The Finnmark alps have countless possibilities for skiing, and by boat the selection of trips is virtually endless.

On the ski cruise we go on the motor vessel “Gamle Mårøy” around the Øksfjord peninsula and seek out the best skiing. By boat you get a lot of options and free rein to explore the outside of the Finnmark alps. Here you have mountains that plunges down from 1000 meter straight down in to the see, combined with the mountains that distribute their altitude over a longer distance. Something for every skiing personality and skill. We live and eat on the boat, so it will be from the fjord to the peak in the most litteraly way.

“Gamle Mårøy”

“Gamle Mårøy” is a passenger vessel that was built in 1959 and was operational all the way to year 2000. Serving it’s last 20 years in the coast guard. The vessel was protected as cultural heritage in 2007 and is one of very few vessels of its kind that is still operational. The experience out on sea is worth the trip alone, going through straits and into narrow fjords and out on the infamous sea “lopphavet”.
